Solid Form Solutions Ltd has won the Nexxus Scotland "Most Promising Young Life Science Company Award". The award was accepted by our Quality Assurance Manager John MacKinlay. Nexxus recognised that only after two years we are working with companies around the world, have generated more than £ 1million in sales, expanded our staff to 14 while still recruiting and have expanded out laboratory space and service capabilities to further grow our company for the future. Solid Form Solutions Ltd increases head count: Solid Form Solutions today announced that headcount has increased by a further four staff.
Patrick Falvey (Business Development Manager)
Patrick Falvey gained a PhD in Synthetic Drug delivery Systems from University College Dublin followed by postdoctoral experience in Neurological drug development, before moving into commercial business development. More recently Patrick worked with the Scottish International economic development agency, SDI, and has sound knowledge of the pharmaceuticals market place.
Dr Ioan Paraschiv (Senior Scientist)
Ioan joined SFS in July 2010 as Sr. Scientist. He holds a Ph.D. in Physical-Organic Chemistry from Wageningen University, The Netherlands. Before joining Solid Form Solutions Ltd, Ioan held a position of Project Leader Pharma, with another CRO company within The Netherlands. Ioan will manage customer projects, and provide technical support to SFS Business Development team to further expand the company’s client base.
Magdalene Werecka (Project Scientist)
Magdalene joins SFS as an analyst and project scientist from another CRO. Magdalene will use her in-depth knowledge of analytical techniques (HPLC, Karl-Fischer etc..) to support projects as well as expanding SFS’s analytical services.
Dr Myriam Scansetti (Project Scientist)
Myriam Scansetti joins SFS as a project scientist. Myriam gained a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry from Edinburgh University. Myriam will use her synthetic capabilities and expertise in analytical techniques to support both synthetic chemistry and solid form screening projects.
SFS achieves ISO9001:2008 certification:
After 1 ½ days of inspection from the British Standards Institute, Solid Form Solutions has now been recommended for certification to ISO9001:2008. The successful audit has been due to a lot of hard work and overall team effort from all the staff who have fully embraced the quality culture. This now endorses the quality of the screening services already provided by SFS, and will be used to enhance other activities within the company and progress to higher levels of quality standards.
